About
I am Rajna Fani, currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Analytics, originally from Albania and now studying in Munich, Germany. My academic journey commenced with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Computational Linguistics, which cultivated my profound interest in Natural Language Processing.
In terms of professional growth, I have transitioned from the role of a Software Developer at CGI DE Munich to that of an NLP Engineer at the startup, get-ikigai. These positions have provided me with the opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications effectively. Notably, my leadership role as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Olynet for one semester empowered me to leverage technology to tackle real-world challenges, including improving internet connectivity for over 2000 students in one of the student campuses in Munich.
Moreover, I have honed my skills through collaborative experiences at TUM.ai, a prominent student-led AI initiative in Europe. There, I led teams and gained insights into managing marketing strategies that enhanced our digital footprint. Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in technical development, ranging from contributing to AI projects with startups and SAP to refining AI algorithms for pragmatic solutions.
Currently, I am preparing for a six-month research stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a visiting researcher at the Laboratory for Computational Physiology, Institute for Medical Engineering and Science. My research will focus on identifying patients most vulnerable to AI mispredictions in healthcare and optimizing model accuracy for this cohort.
My journey reflects a steadfast commitment to innovation and societal benefit, symbolizing a transition from a curious student in Albania to an aspiring AI researcher in Germany and beyond. It underscores my enduring dedication and pursuit of excellence within the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
